The AIRDRIVE DESIGN is the new construction concept developed to improve fixed-spool reels by optimizing their lightness, smoothness and reducing their rotational inertia without compromising their strength. It is based on the redesign of the reels’ pivotal components:
The new AIRDRIVE ROTOR with a design aimed at reducing rotational inertia maintains solidity and strength while weighing less than its predecessor Air Rotor, thanks to significant structural improvements.
The AIRDRIVE SPOOL reel is optimized in terms of weight and functionality by improving its swing. The anti-wire kink deflector and revised clicker mechanism help improve the user experience.
The AIRDIRVE BAIL headband is thinner, lighter and yet more durable than its predecessor. Its inclination has been revised so as to improve the flow of the thread to the thread guide roller.
The new AIRDRIVE SHAFT minimizes friction and power loss, ensuring smooth and quiet rotation; the Main Shaft, supported by special collars, moves without contact with the sprocket, differentiating it from traditional systems.
MONOCOQUE BODY technology gives the reel extreme structural rigidity and increased stress resistance. The one-piece body also makes it possible to accommodate a larger control wheel, improving rotation and power transmission. The MQ concept also allows for increased resistance to dirt and saltiness while increasing durability.
With TOUGH DIGIGEAR technology, cold-forged Duraluminum gears increase mechanical performance by allowing larger components to be housed than the body size.
Thanks to these features, the mechanics of CERTATE G LT are even more effective, efficient and durable.
MAGSEALED technology is a special magnetized oil membrane seals the sprocket outlet from the body, preventing water from entering the body. The absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from corrosion hazards, extending the life of the reel. On the new CERTATE G LT 2024, the system is also applied for the benefit of the thread guide and control wheel, other weak points to be protected. Both applications affect the smoothness of rotation, reducing friction and increasing fishing pleasure.
This special MAGSEALED magnetized oil membrane allows the entire control wheel to be protected from dirt and salt, exponentially increasing durability and efficiency.
The thread guide roller is one of the parts most prone to infiltration of dirt and saltiness, which is why the thread guide roller is equipped with MAGSEALED bearing to ensure smoother running in any situation.
The new ATD-Type L clutch, borrowed from the top-of-the-line Exist, is even smoother and more progressive, helping to improve modulability and reduce stress on the line.
LONG CAST – ABS is a technology that combines the characteristics of ABS coils with Long Cast technology. The top edge is composed of two gradually outward-oriented edges to further decrease the friction of the outgoing wire.
The third generation of Daiwa ‘s famous TWIST BUSTER thread guide roller further improves smoothness in fishing, thanks to an additional groove placed in the center of the roller.
