The body of the Luvias is Monocoque Body, a single piece machined from Zaion, Daiwa’s most technologically advanced material, which is as rigid as metal but half as heavy. This has resulted in the Luvias having record-breaking stiffness and lightness : in size 2,500 the weight is only 175gr.
No other reel manages to combine a featherweight with outstanding mechanical qualities like the Luvias: in fact, it is equipped with a Tough Digigear control lever, as many as 9 ball bearings (including 5 or 6 anti-corrosion crbb, depending on size), a powerful and sensitive ATD clutch, and Magsealed technology to protect the internal mechanics.
